WE EAT, WE SLEEP, WE BREATHE REGGAE MUSIC!
WE EAT, WE SLEEP, WE BREATHE REGGAE MUSIC!
Our pledge is to protect, encourage, and preserve reggae music to make sure it never dies
Reggae is the musical genre which revolutionized Jamaican music. When it emerged in the late 1960s it came as a cultural bombshell not only to Jamaica but the whole world. Its slow jerky rhythm, its militant and spiritual lyrics have influenced musical genres, cultures and societies throughout the world, contributing to the development of new counterculture movements, especially in Europe, the USA and Africa.
Reggae Society wants to bring together like minded individuals who share a love for and want to preserve Reggae Music. Our nights/dances are aimed at the more mature person. Dub skankers; two-steppers; those who still remember lover’s rock: those who can shake a little to the heavy beat of Soca: those who want to get away from the Explicit hardcore Bashment scene: And finally, those of us who miss the whole Reggae vibe that we have been sorely lacking in Liverpool.
CreativeSpice Entertainment promotions strive to promote unity and connection amongst all people through community events, education and awareness.
Reggae Society nights introduce some amazing reggae Selectors/DJ's/musicians, from all across the country playing you the best in Lover’s rock, Revival, Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Soca; all of this with a splash of old school R&B. What more can you need?! You'll soon be dancing, sweating, and singing along!
AND WHY NOT LEARN ABOUT REGGAE & SOUNDSYSTEM CULTURE; THE MUSIC THAT EDIFIED A BLACK NATION!...CLICK HERE

Kirklands, in Hardman Street, now the refurbished and re-named, Fly in the Loaf, was one of the trendiest nightclubs and the places to be in Liverpool during 80s and 90s. It had the best vibe with DJs playing the best in soul, two-step and those classic bangaz from the 70s, 80s and 90s. So CreativeSpice will be recreating that vibe on the 27th May 2023. Yes! Reggae Society goes strictly soul and rare grooves! LOL. We will be bringing back the good, old Kirklands vibe, running through the best tunes from the era presented to you by Manchester Legend Gordon West. He's played on stage with Gladys Knight. Mica Paris, Rasaan Patterson, Cornelly Carter, Leee John, Melba Moore, Shalamar, Odyssey, Alexander O'Neil, Loose Ends, Soul II Soul and loads more. We also have Ivan the Russian, Kirklands resident DJ back in the day, as well as yours truly (LadySpice) dropping the floor fillers. So, trust that you are firmly in good hands. Food will be on sale, the Delectable Ocean Hawaiian BBQ. So come and start your Bank Holiday weekend by dancing to some of the baddest tunes around (upstairs). Entry: £10, no ifs, no buts or maybes. See ya there!
